Satan’s Defeated

There is a common question many ask. Why does God not just crush Satan and be done with him? Why doesn’t He do something? Many theological debates are birthed from such a question and many have interesting viewpoints and answers. However the answer is quite simple really. He did do something, Jesus!
He sent the greatest answer to the Kingdom of Satan and that is Jesus! After Calvary a blow to the Kingdom of Satan was handed and Jesus and His Kingdom took back the keys to Life and Death. Some would still ask why is Satan still in existence and again the answer is quite simple, His Body The Church! Satan and his Kingdom has already been defeated they are just waiting on their sentencing trial, but there are many in our world that are still serving the Kingdom of Satan and the Church is still present to pull those in that Kingdom out and help place them in the Kingdom of Jesus.
No one knows how much time we have but its getting quite obvious that the end times are here and Satan’s Kingdom is shrinking and God’s Kingdom is expanding. It’s our job as the Church to go out into the Highways and Byways and compel them to come so that the Lord’s house maybe full!

Made a Way

Songwriter Travis Greene wrote a song called “Made a Way”. After the first time I listened to this song I was immediately hooked. However it wasn’t the beat or the tune the hooked me it was the words.

As a Bible Believing Christian my faith stands on a path that is not always clear in front of me because we all go through dark times. However its on this path of faith that I have learned and watched Jesus make a way when there didn’t seem to be a way.

When we didn’t know how we were going to pay the bills or put food on the table I watch Jesus make a way and we had food on the table and the bills paid. When I didn’t know the answer to a circumstance He made a way and provided the answer and still does today. When a neighbor had their baby rushed to the hospital because he drowned and the doctor said it is too late Jesus made a way and the baby is still alive today. When you are praying for God to place a love for Him in your child’s heart and you don’t force it on them but just live it in front of them He makes a way and she comes to you saying she wants to be baptized in Jesus name at the age of 9.

Time and time again Jesus has “made a way” in my life and my family. Was it easy? No! Is it still easy? No but its easier then before. The key to seeing Jesus make a way for you is to watch Him through those circumstances where an opportunity presents itself for Him to make a way!!! Then after you see Him do it again and again your faith grows. We all love Mountain tops but we still need Valley’s. Maybe I should write a post about that 🙂 I guess we will see.

Isaiah 43:16-19King James Version (KJV)

16 Thus saith the Lord, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;

17 Which bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not rise: they are extinct, they are quenched as tow.

18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.

19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

Our Source of Confidence

The Golden Rule states treat others as you would like to be treated. However many of us tend to treat others similar to how we feel about ourselves. Its an amazing incite to consider the source of how we treat others is found inside our hearts regarding us personally.

Think about it. Confident people get frustrated with non-confident individuals because they don’t understand how they can’t be confident. Or on the flip side non-confident people get frustrated with confident people because they don’t understand them either. However when you consider both which person would you want to be around the most or would you glean from the most? I would say most would say the confident person.

The bottom line is in order for us to develop stronger people skills we need to develop stronger convictions of who God made us to be and His confidence in us. The better picture we have of ourselves through the eyes of Christ.

1 John 5:14 says “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will He hears us.”

What are you saying Jamie? I am saying that God’s will is for us to approach Him with confidence that He loves us and wants the best for us. When we walk around with that mindset we treat others much different especially difficult people. 🙂

God Bless!!

The Bible Made Simple

“It ain’t those parts of the Bible that I can’t understand that bother me, it is the parts that I do understand.” Mark Twain

For centuries the Bible was strapped to the pulpit and only those “qualified” are to read it, but where did anyone get the notion that God’s Word was only for the Intellects? Simple answer…Power! The enemy knew that once truth was proclaimed then Freedom would come running afterward, but if truth can be concealed then Freedom stays captive.

Many today still feel in their hearts that it takes great lengths of education to be able to understand the Bible. Fortunately they are wrong. It has been proven that the Bible is written at a 5th Grade Reading Level. Now don’t misunderstand me there are deep and rich incites in the Bible that take an understanding of language, grammar, Greek, and Hebrew. However that is not required in order to understand Simple Salvation, Who God is, and How to live a Christian Life.

As Mark Twain’s quote was pointing to is those things that are essential to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven therefore God does not intend to make His Word hard to follow when it comes to those three elements; Salvation, God, and Living. So if you are one who is afraid to pick up this Simple Book that is full of Life and Freedom then please take my word for it pick it up and read. Starting in the New Testament is a great place such as the Book of John or the Book of Acts.
